Ethics and Energy
There are few areas of public policy that have generated as many debates and disagreements as energy. The development of the oil sands and recent proposals for pipeline development have been the most visible recent subjects of debate and controversy. However, renewable resources, and nuclear energy have both had similar impacts and generated serious and sometime acrimonious debate.

The purpose of this second theme is to seek to identify the ethical values that should guide policy development and energy development decisions in the 21st century.
