Me in Brief

My passion is intercultural relations and the mining and mineral exploration industries, where I have worked for over 15 years. In order to create meaningful, sustainable and developmental CSR initiates, one must address the culture and believes of the community and the corporation, intercultural training programs are an innovative way to achieve this goal, and here is where ethical issues come to surface.

Intercultural training is a transformative experience, for the trainer and the participant; consequently there is a great sense of responsibility for the continuous pursuit of excellence of the service provider professional development and for the well being of the client. Ethical concerns come in many ways. With respect to the client and their reasons for seeking intercultural competencies and how those learning experiences will be applied in their work and in their international operations. With respect to the participant in intercultural training programs due to the personal demand of the trainings (new ways of knowing, thinking, valuing and behaving) and the ethical issues related to these demands.
