Me in Brief

I am on leave from the federal government having spent a number of years at Federal Finance and at the Privy Council Office. Before that I worked in the private sector and for Provincial Governments. My last 2 years were spent in Peru where my wife was posted by the Canadian government. My professional interests are in public finance, governance and institutions.

I have extensive experience in intergovernmental finance, and have written a number of academic papers in the last few years. My experience also includes First Nation self government financing as well as natural resource taxation.

My professional interests and recent life experience in Peru has made me aware of and interested in transparency issues and business ethics; particularly as these relate to extractive industries, community development and regional government finance.
