The International Chambers of Commerce has issued the first global standard on the creation of whistleblowing programs. The guidelines take into account the different cultural and legal environments that have inhibited a universal standard in the past.
The ICC guidelines, aimed at helping companies establish and implement internal whistleblowing programs, are based on the broad experience and practice of ICC member companies across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions. They are also inspired by a large number of international and national legal provisions.
