dynamic course of international expansion. Consistently ranked among the
leading business schools in Germany,
EBS offers high-quality teaching and research and sets new standards in

Social
Business
We are looking for candidates with an established track
record of research, professional achievement and significant experience in the
area of social business or a closely related field (e.g.
social entrepreneurship; management of non-profit organisations; microfinance;
corporate responsibility). A completed doctoral degree in a relevant
field from a leading university or business school is required. For a position
at the senior level, we are interested in exceptional scholars with a
demonstrated track record of published research, teaching and professional
experience in the area of social business. Specifically, we expect the holder
of the Danone Endowed Chair of Social Business to have the credibility and
initiative to represent the idea of social business in the public, and to take
active steps to foster public awareness around the importance of social
businesses and the social business movement at large. For a position at the
assistant professor level, we expect clear evidence of potential for high-quality
teaching and research in this area.
Both
positions are part of the Department of Strategy, Organization and Leadership
at EBS, which offers a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Core and
adjunct members of the department come from internationally renowned schools
(e.g., London School of Economics, Indian Institute of Management), have
published in top journals in the management field (Academy of Management
Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Management, Journal
of Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management Journal, etc.) and are active
in the international academic community through their membership in the
editorial boards of leading journals and leadership roles in the Academy of
Management and other organisations. The department is also home to faculty
members in the area of philosophy who are directing the studium universale
which is characteristic of EBS.
Our
aim is to fill these vacancies by autumn 2010. The application deadline is April
30, 2010. Please send/e-mail a CV including publication list and evidence
of teaching capabilities, a statement regarding research and teaching
objectives, and the names/contact details of three referees to:
