Delegates will gather for the final negotiations on the formal outcome document of Rio+20 from 20 –22 June. Governments are expected to adopt clear and focused practical measures for implementing sustainable development, based on the many examples of success we have seen over the last 20 years. Ben Davies and John Drexhage will attend the negotiations to communicate in particular the contribution of mining to sustainable development, as well as to a low carbon economy, and enhancing the effectiveness of public-private sector partnerships necessary to maximize this contribution.
