General Counsel - Canadian Civil Liberties AssociationAlan Borovoy is Canada's best known civil libertarian. He has been General Counsel of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association since 1968. In that capacity, he has spoken out on mandatory drug-testing, police and security issues, the division of church and state, freedom of speech and a host of other topics. He is a widely read journalist and writer, and was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1982.
