PRI Networks Research Internships
Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is a an international network of investors working together to put the six Principles of Responsible Investment into practice.
One of the Initiative’s areas of work is to help investors across different countries put the six Principles into practice within their local context. This area of work falls under the Networks team. Today, local PRI Networks exist in the following countries: Australia, Japan, South Korea, US, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Continental Europe and Nordic Europe with some of these Networks looking beyond the country remit towards a regional perspective.
This project aims to gather market, economic and overall data about countries where local PRI Networks operate, and is set to contextualise the Initiative’s work in promoting the six Principles in countries or regions in order to better communicate the work and achievements of the different Networks to both internal and external audiences.

SIO Paid Internship, Toronto
The Social Investment Organization (SIO) is seeking an Intern for a four-month period beginning in January 2013. The internship is well-suited to an upper year undergraduate student, a graduate student, or a recent graduate who wishes to enhance their work experience and/or to break into the responsible investment (RI) industry. This position is appropriate for individuals with academic backgrounds in Communications, Business, or Social Sciences who are passionate about responsible investment and corporate social responsibility.
The Intern will report to the SIO’s Executive Director, and will be supported and supervised by the Director, Research and Communications. The Intern will be expected to work approximately 24 hours per week at the SIO’s Toronto office, which is located at 300 – 215 Spadina Avenue. Flexibility will be allowed to accommodate the Intern’s school schedule, if applicable.
$12 per hour

Responsible Investment Job Editor
The purpose of the Editor is to receive up to six recommendations of recent publications from the Academic Network’s Academic Fellow. These will generally be papers rather than monographs or media articles. The Editor must contact the authors; arrange for photos and other necessary graphics; write summaries of each article that is suitable for a general audience; and make sure all interested parties are kept informed at every stage of the process.
The successful candidate will possess a good writing style. They will have a journalistic background and may have experience in a communications office or consultancy. In order to do their job they will need to understand finance, and will preferably have qualifications to at least Master’s level. They will be able to work independently and take charge of the writing process.

CPP Investment Board seeks Director, Responsible Investing
The Director, Responsible Investing and his/her team provide strong cross-functional expertise to the investment departments and teams within CPP Investment Board. Corporate Accountability International, a powerhouse in challenging corporate abuse for 35 years, is seeking a Senior International Water Organizer to play a lead role in organizing pressure on the World Bank to end promotion of water privatization, while advancing the human right to water through the United Nations (UN) system. The Senior International Water Organizer will identify and engage key World Bank and UN constituencies; monitor World Bank and UN activities; mobilize advocates for public water services and systems; and carry out tactics that will build the power necessary to change policies and practices that advance the right to water.

Manager, Advisory Services - Financial Services Focus, BSR
The Manager will be part of BSR’s fast-growing New York advisory services team, with a focus on our financial services consulting practice. The Manager will also support other industry teams as needed, such as health care, consumer products, and media/entertainment.
BSR’s global consulting work covers a range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues, including access to emerging markets, environment (carbon, water, waste), financial inclusion, human rights, impact evaluation, reporting & transparency, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable supply chain. BSR’s financial services practice specifically assists banks, investment managers, insurance companies, private equity firms, and financial information and technology companies to improve the sustainability of their corporate operations, implement new approaches to socially responsible investing, and manage environmental, social, and governance risks.
